Description
The 35mm slide at its peak was the prime method used to record events, gatherings and adventures, a role now undertaken by the smartphone. Once the mainstay of family gatherings, projected slideshows showcased these moments to friends and family alike.
With the passing of time, and sadly their owners, these 2x2 inch squares of social history are often discarded, forcing them to enter the realms of anonymity.
Photo Album of the Forgotten collates these slides and celebrates them in the form of a photobook, emulating the manner of a photo album of the period.
This photobook is the culmination of three years of collecting, studying and collating 35mm slides, motivated by a strong interest in social history.
