<text>A book about weather worn posters, composed of more than 100 selected pictures taken in the last ten years in London and other cities in Europe and Asia.
Posters, and in particular, advertising posters, are all around us, they have a single and well defined scope: to convey a message for a short amount of time. Then they’re left, exposed to the elements, useless, until they are removed or replaced. The artistic reaction to that is the capacity to find beauty in the spontaneous artistic value the torn posters gain, making the city a free and immense open-air museum.
Second life is about the beauty the torn posters gain just before disappearing, like the agave plant that produces only one flower just before its death.</text>
