Description
In 1979 I had a grant from the Scottish Arts Council (now Creative Scotland) to live on the Wester Hailes housing scheme (western side of Edinburgh), work with the kids at the new Wester Hailes Education Centre (the WHEC), and wander the neighbourhood talking to locals and taking photos.
As well as the photos, the book includes reminiscences from those who were there at the time.
