A collection of photographs documenting the annual Clitheroe Scooter Rally.
An examination of the people, their scooters, and what it means to be a Mod in contemporary times.
Mods, Scooterboys, and Skinheads gather for a weekend of music and drinking. Emblazoned with patches and badges, that display allegiance to bands, brands, and points of view- quite literally wearing their hearts on their sleeves.
The photographs are a vivisection of a waning subculture- the community and camaraderie of shared tastes, as well as insidious nationalistic and racist views.
Shot on four days, over four years. All images Ilford HP5.
