In 2017, Scott directed ‘REVERIE’ a film for Dazed that captured the
views of young people on the subject of dreams, opportunities and
aspirations.
FED FROM THE FUTURE also follows the making of the film, and
through it a search for a protagonist: a representative of contemporary
British youth. Stella meets a boy named Alex aka Houdini, who
explains the strong and stoic philosophy he’s adopted to make his
dreams a reality. He agrees to co-write a script with Stella and be
the face of REVERIE. After many iterations of the script was written,
and after two days of shooting Alex walks out of the shoot without
saying a word and Stella is left to finish the film.
Through interviews, photography and artwork, FED FROM THE
FUTURE showcases the 50 young people who finished what Alex
started. It uncovers what Alex stood for, and how his final act was
testimony to his own self-determination. It inspires young people to
find personal autonomy, meaning and motivation during these turbulent
times.
