Description

HANDOVER is a visual conversation between photography communities in London and Manchester. A gesture towards bridging a creative gap between the two cities, the publication brings together 27 photographers to showcase work that exists outside commercial constraints. This book contains the personal, experimental, narrative-driven, and often overlooked imagery that might otherwise sit on a hard drive or in a print box without a home.

The publication is split into three chapters, ‘Even Seeing a Rainbow in the City is Rare’, ‘Lust and Laundry’ and ‘The Fable’, each accompanied by a poem. We asked contributors to respond to the three titles and through these responses, HANDOVER becomes an act of exchange: a passing of perspective and interpretation between photographers and cities.
