Wading
Subject
Portraiture
Description
A photo series that took shape from the bookends of his parents’ lives and the discovery of his father’s multi-decade archive of negatives. He sequenced these photographs to understand them better and construct a portrait in absence of firsthand stories.
By pairing them with his own work, he aims to showcase how a home can change both physically and emotionally, and to animate the stagnant feeling when one partner passes before the other. The project ended as abruptly as it began, but it served as an exercise in patience and the acceptance of loss.
