Title A name given to the resource It's Me Billie, 2018 Description An account of the resource Begum Yetis (b.1987, Istanbul) studied film at the University of Southern California between 2004-2006 and holds her BA in Photography from Istanbul Bilgi University. She currently lives and works in London. Having been working in the fashion industry, her personal projects develop around the representations of identity and sexuality. This is her first self-published zine titled It’s Me Billie, documenting the world around her since making her move to London in 2016. This zine explores the idea of photography as memory. Through the practice of photography, she makes her memories of a specific time exist, believing that if you shoot constantly it forms a line which represents your life. By introducing herself as Billie in the title, the photographer is reconstructing herself in these new experiences since moving to London.
