What Do We Do Now? is the debut photobook by Alexander Stone. It tells the story of Tottenham's Europa League triumph, through photos shot on 35mm film. It takes in both legs of the quarter final against Frankfurt, the home game against Bodo/Glimt, the final in Bilbao, and the last game against Brighton with the trophy celebrations. It is A5, hardback, with over 80 pages, and 50+ colour photos, and some reflections on life as a Spurs fan and the journey to Bilbao, all printed on 200gsm quality paper.

The idea was inspired by photos I took of shop-keepers in Varanasi, India years ago. I did more of that on a subsequent trip to Old Delhi under the direction of Martin Parr and when I returned to London, started to photograph shopkeepers closer to my home.
I love seeing a person in their environment, surrounded by the things they sell or make. In the case of many independent stores these things represent their passion and their livelihood. Everything they have was wrapped up in this one little shop.
In 2020 I discovered Camden Passage, a little street close to my home filled with independent shops and market traders. Each one of them has a story to tell. From there it wasn’t long before I turned my camera to the shoppers, the coffee drinks and the passersby.
After four years in the making, this project has come to represent not only this street but in many ways every High Street and community. It’s about the diverse people who shop, eat and drink on our High Streets and the local business owners who offer not just products but a sense of belonging, safeguarding the essence of community. Streets like this matter. They are the beating heart of local communities where people come together to shop, relax, catch up and support one another. They should be treasured, nurtured and supported by us and when necessary by the government. If we lose them to developers and online shopping giants we’ll lose a vital pillar of community life.

“Rzeczy - an object that one need not, cannot, or does not wish to
give a specific name to.”
The title "Rzeczy" might seem intimidating at first, especially to English speakers. Translated
from Polish it simply means "things”. With its jarring combination of letters, this word resonated as the perfect name for this series. It is a playful admittance of an inability to clearly articulate what drives the urge to stop and look closely.
At first glance, neither the scene nor object might seem to hold any aesthetic value. The images resist easy categorisation, and are pulled together instinctively as a cohesive compilation.
Created over the past four years, these photographs are presented alongside the launch of a zine of the same title. These relatively small format prints on display are intended to emphasise the humble nature of both subject and medium, while the varied and individual
style of the frames accentuate the diverse and humorous motifs.
Will is a London-based photographer who sought to free himself from the self-constraints and literal weight of “pro” camera photography. He was drawn to the immediacy and simplicity of
just using his phone as a tool to take pictures, and found new freedom in capturing what
caught his eye at any moment. He celebrates mundane daily existence, revealing lightness
from under anthropogenic grit. His work aims to inspire others to find beauty in unexpected
places, to create and collect their own treasures from the everyday world around them.

Having grown up and lived in London for the majority of my life, I wandered the streets for countless hours day after day with my camera, finding new surprises at every turn shooting the good the bad and the ugly and now i'd like to share some of that with my first book, ‘Metropolis.’
Metropolis is a 170x240mm hardback book comprising of 103 photographs. Taken between 2020 and 2024, the photographs in this book offer a candid look at everyday life in London. My aim was to document the city’s movement through its people, urban landscapes, diverse subcultures, and other hidden gems. Shot on 35mm and 120 film, with most developed and scanned by myself, these images provide a personal and intimate glimpse into London life through my lens.

An account of the resource
Chao Ah Gua started from a conversation between two of my friends, Z and J. J grew up in England, has been out to his parents for a couple of years, and is also in a long-term monogamous relationship. In contrast, Z grew up in Singapore and leads a double life; his parents know nothing of his active sex life and are still under the perception that he is straight. J had made the passing comment to Z, encouraging him to come out to his parents, noting that they would eventually understand and accept him for who he is. However, Z rejected the proposal as he couldn’t bear the potential repercussions.
Contemporary gay culture has become shaped to fit Western ideals. Its emphasis on individuality clashes with the collective values upheld in many Asian countries, which results in these communities homogenising gay experiences, having perceived it to be another form of cultural dominance from the Western world. The promotion of a homogenous gay experience feeds into local societal rejection and political erasure of gay narratives in their local communities, even when there is evidence to show their assimilation within these societies historically.
The gap in representation created by this erasure also results in Asian gay men turning toward Western gay narratives as a framework to navigate their sexuality, with many choosing to abandon their other personal identities or lead double lives. Furthermore, it also reinforces the hegemonic queer narrative powered by Western publications like GayTimes and Attitude that will continue to influence the next generation of Asian gay men living in Orient societies.
What does that then mean for the gay men living in these spaces? Are they supposed to choose one-half of themselves over the other? Is it an impossibility for Asian gay men to co-exist with their heterosexual and Occidental counterparts? We must start to find different ways of championing equality locally, to look for new ways of intertwining our traditional upbringing and sexual identities so that future generations of Asian gay people can have nuanced examples that they can look up to and follow – something that our predecessors sorely lacked. Chao Ah Gua serves as a beacon of hope to Asian gay men who are unable to see a future for themselves within their Orient communities.

In many Asian countries, homophobia is rooted in ignorance rather than hate, which stems from the lack of visibility. This is made more apparent by laws that censor and limit local portrayals of the LGBTQ community. However, these norms are changing and Asian societies are generally open to dialogue. Highly visible LGBTQ events generally rely on 'loud' approaches like protesting to gain support and momentum. This may work better in Western contexts where individualism is emphasised, but they do not translate well in an Asian context where obedience, meekness, and collectivism have been ingrained into local culture. Asian LGBTQ communities may find themselves being alienated further within their milieu. How then should one approach advocacy of gay rights in an Asian context?
in another world/ 假如在另个世界 trials an alternate approach, delving into my journey as an Asian gay man and juxtaposing these experiences to those of Charlie, a pansexual man from Lincoln. Despite coming from geographies worlds apart, Charlie and I share many similar queer milestones from ice skating, to queer allyship, first sexual encounters, first pride, STI testing, enduring hate crimes, exes, and more. Harnessing the quietness of our lived experiences, in another world aims to create tolerance and understanding with new allies, eventually leading to acceptance. It also seeks to remind gay men to honor their promise of inclusivity, reminding us how we are a lot more connected than we know despite our physical appearances and circumstances.
