I wanted not only to be able to make powerful, hard-hitting images but I wanted to be able to write so beautifully just as Nachtwey does. His words flowing together so eloquently, so carefully considered much like his photography.

But unlike the truth in his words "the events recorded should never be repeated" here lies a small, fun, 42 pages of sun where the events in this book should never be forgotten, and absolutely should be repeated.

Because it seems to me that all one would need to be in a state of perpetual happiness is some sun, a place to park one's arse, an ice-cold alcoholic beverage and easy access to food. </text>

<text>American Mirror is award-winning photographer Philip Montgomery’s dramatic chronicle of the United States at a time of profound change. Through his intimate and powerful reporting and a signature black-and-white style, Montgomery reveals the fault lines in American society, from police violence and the opioid addiction crisis to the COVID-19 pandemic and the demonstrations in support of Black lives. Yet in his unflinching images, we also see moments of grace and sacrifice, glimmers of solidarity and tireless advocates for democracy. Like Dorothea Lange and Walker Evans before him, Montgomery has made an unforgettable testament of a nation at a crossroads.</text>

<text>Objects come into being with an intended purpose; a reason to exist. This ‘stuff’ then sloshes around the everyday, like detritus: sometimes being useful (as intended); sometimes just being stuff. The area outside these two states is like a transformation, when an object or an environment can be seen as a separate entity from its particular function. In BEINGS, objects and environments are what they appear to be; a cheese pot, a ladder, a piece of laminate flooring, a road. However, they are also constituent parts of a larger whole, like the matter from which they are themselves made. Where these object-particles collide they create something new that is without a particular purpose, but which takes on a new sculptural form. In this context of remixing the everyday, some subjects instead sit as-found. Sitting in the glow of their reconfigured counterparts, they are somehow altered by association. They have a sculptural potential radiating beyond their use-function.

Unknown beings have made and designed all this stuff, and others have left it in the world for me to find. Some have done strange things with it, perhaps because of boredom or to resist the everyday routine. I have reciprocated, and done strange things also. Whoever is ultimately responsible, these photographs are representative of human endeavour, both purposeful and playful. As I’ve said before, it’s all just stuff.

The project began as an exploration of queer intimacy between two people. It soon evolved into something beyond a single story. The photographs of people still remain, however they are interlaced with tight, close up images, which break up the human bodies and allow the sequence to not be dominated by skin alone. This book marks the completion of the project, a constellation of fragments held together in the dark.</text>

In this print-first edition, the second issue in the 2026 trilogy, photoED magazine flips the script on the readers experience. From the cover, the publication opens as per usual but somehow concludes in the middle. Flip the print edition on its back to find another beginning, a different entry point, through a second cover.</text>

<text>THRIFT is the art project and brain child of photographer Will Grundy and stylist Beatriz Maués. The duo made a series of fashion pictures using unique vintage discoveries from various cities. These images, featuring recycled clothing, is their way of delivering the message of resourcefulness over wastefulness.

THRIFT encourages the viewer to take a more informed and considered approach to their personal consumption of fashion, with a hope of opening a dialogue to promote an ethos of sustainability. It also celebrates the thrill of the hunt, the joys in discovering a unique thrift shop find. Like the unique one-off pieces they collect, this limited 54 page book is printed in the limited edition of 200.</text>
