The collection of photos is a mixture of photographs taken inside my house and NASA images.

Losing a sense of social belonging, my reality was constructed only based on the endless internal dialogues and interactions with inanimate objects in the house. My own thoughts and experience were the only thing that proves my existence and nothing in the outside world mattered to me. I felt like I was in a train running in an endless loop and I constantly needed to escape from something. I projected this mental state onto the ordinary objects and scenes in my house. </text>

With a foreword by journalist Kate Spicer, the book documents the Summer of 1998 as photographer Mischa Haller travelled across the UK to chronicle clubbers and partygoers out on the streets in the small hours of the morning. He covered the time between the night clubs closing and people going home, those one or two hours when most of the world is asleep, but clubbers carry on.</text>

Maybe it’s the adrenalin generated by constant stimulation, or the strange magic of collective energy, but you don’t get tired at the same rate, or hungry at the same times. For just a few days, your body clock is completely rewired as the hours melt and flow.

What happens after the after-hours? The rhythm of Glastonbury grows fuzzier, shaggier, totally unbound. This is the time of peak wandering, tripping through the lights and laughter with no particular destination in mind. During the following two years he visited the island in every season observing island life and creating a unique documentary series of photographs. 'On Bute' tells the story of the identity of a community and its daily life at the beginning of the 21st century. The project is a celebration of the island, showing the spirit of the place, people and their times. The photos explore a dynamic society, at times in transition, detached from the mainland and often displaying a strong sense of humour.</text>
