"LSD - Lockdown Street Diary" is a photobook collection of candid street photos. A one-year project started at the end of 2020, born with the idea of showcasing life in London from a newbie point of view who moved right in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. <text>“There is something about the invisibility of radiation, and its potential to kill silently. We have good reason to fear what we cannot see, or taste, or hear, or touch. If our senses offer no guide to the scale of the risk, we must assume the best or fear the worst.” – Fred Pearce, science and environmental writer.

Restricted Residence examines the relocation of Japanese citizens to Namie and Iitate, two towns exposed to extreme radioactivity following the catastrophic leak at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. In 2017, despite inconclusive scientific consensus of the long-term effects of radiation in the area, the government began to reduce the exclusion zones and heavily financially incentivise residents to return to what were formerly bustling towns. Now, the area is eerily empty, with just a few hundred people brave enough to return. With the reactor still unrepaired and uninhabitable radiation hotspots scattered across the landscape, some believe these areas will not be safe for 50 years or longer.

Restricted Residence employs thermal technology often used in medicine and surveying, to render the everyday landscapes surreal and inverted, it attempts to visualise the potential hidden stresses on those living in an altered environment, and examine the condition known as Radiophobia: the fear ionizing radiation and its long term psychological effects.

The work blurs the lines of genre and questions what a document is and can be.

<text>A poetic and literary artist’s book exploring absence, memory, intimacy, and traces of the other through text and image.

Artist’s Book Trilogy (ongoing project)
L’Élégance de vos absences is an ongoing artist’s book trilogy exploring memory, absence and transmission through photography, writing, family archives and sound.
Conceived from the outset as an artist’s book rather than a photographic publication, the project brings together photographs, autobiographical texts, archival materials, graphic design, handcrafted elements and original music within a single immersive work. Each medium contributes to the narrative, inviting the reader to move between image, text, touch and listening.
Rooted in a family history marked by deportation, exile, silence and fragmented memories, the trilogy transforms intimate traces into reflections on what remains after loss and how personal histories resonate with collective experiences.
Across three autonomous volumes, L’Élégance de vos absences explores the dialogue between individual remembrance and universal questions of inheritance, resilience and transmission.

Volume I – Comme un vivant porte-bonheur (2025)
The first volume inaugurates this long-term artistic research by exploring the fragile relationship between presence and absence, between what is inherited and what remains unspoken.
Emerging from the artist’s family history — marked by the deportation of his grandfather during the Second World War and by the silences that followed — the book does not seek to reconstruct the past. Instead, it examines how memory continues to inhabit the present through fragments, gestures and invisible inheritances.
Photography is interwoven with autobiographical writing, family archives, handwritten documents and handcrafted facsimiles, creating a narrative where each element resonates with the others. The sequencing of images and the material qualities of the book invite a slow reading experience, allowing memory to unfold gradually.
An original musical composition by Thibaut Torzuoli, accessible through an integrated QR code, extends the work beyond the printed page. Sound becomes another dimension of the narrative, where silence, listening and emotion participate in the reader’s experience.
Published in a limited edition of 130 signed copies, Comme un vivant porte-bonheur establishes the artistic and material foundations of the trilogy, affirming the artist’s book as a complete medium where photography, writing, archives, design and sound converge.</text>

<text>End of a Season is not a project based on a specific topic nor does it describe a particular human condition.
Gio Sbriz acted through impulse and instinct, creating a series of images with which we can irrationally connect. They are like short poems, each one living and breathing by itself.
The viewers cannot absorbe these images passively, as this is not a standard book based on a project with a clear objective.
There is no information available regarding the subjects or places. From Sbriz's point of view, it is irrelevant and likely to distract.
The photos, mostly in color, are very direct and honest. They are not restricted to an obvious theme or interpretation, easily digested and categorized.
These subjects are like us. They are common people and objects all around us while we are distracted by the loud noise of life.
Like the beautiful poem Some People Like Poetry by Wislawa Szymborska, Gio Sbriz is not able to help us as he does not have an answer.

<text>Diachronicles is an examination of the historical space, regarded as a fictional container where an apparent collection of evidence opens up to the fantastic. In this space, the attempt to reconstruct the past falls into phantasmal gaps, where things are generated, used, buried, unearthed, transported, and relocated.
This nomadic and fragmentary nature of what has been left behind, reveals how the movement, transfiguration, and misinterpretation of objects shape historiography and ultimately, the real.
In the impossible search of academic legitimation, the viewer is invited into a world where the factual and the fake overlap. The work is about the absence of memory and addresses the leading role archaeology, photography and the museum space play in a historical narrative. In doing so, the human body is used to suggest scale and as a means to display objects.

Furthermore, Diachronicles digs into a parallel history, filled with disappearances, figures to decode, nonexistent artefacts and forgeries hidden in museums basements </text>
