<text>The images in this Zine were taken on the 42 Bus in Manchester between 2012 - 2014.

I had picked up a foot injury, which made street photography almost impossible.
I still wanted to take pictures.
I had the idea of hopping on the bus and pointing my camera out the window.
I didn’t have to walk and I had a fleeting yet fabulous view of the City.

The 42 bus route passes through one of the busiest bus corridors in Europe.
The mile stretch along Oxford Road has a timetabled bus of every 30 seconds
.. in both directions.
The 40 minute journey was described as ‘chaotic, stressful and unpleasant’ by the
Parliamentary Transport committee.. and I couldn‘t agree more.Infacrt,
Focussing on the other side of the window is the healthiest thing you can do!

The 6 mile stretch between Didsbury and the City Centre connectcs the
Suburbs with Universities, Hospitals, The infamous ‘Curry Mile’ in Rusholme
as well as Parks and Churches that just about made it into Morrssey lyrics.

<text>“Lost and Found” is an ongoing series that examines the practical use of vernacular photography in public space by means of appropriation and recontextualisation. The first edition of the series consists of eight missing report posters found and removed from the streets of London. The poster motifs are juxtaposed fragments cat, ring or hard drive providing the compositional structure. The collected materials share a common feature of the photographic medium whose original function served social and communicative purposes. The “found" street posters combine photography with typography to aid their creator in retrieving what they have lost. By extracting the posters from their original location without any consent, I intervene in this process making the act of appropriation a very physical one. Through simple abstraction methods and placing the redesigned visual content in connection to one another, the photographs take on a new level of functionality with new artistic interventions. The broader intention is to reassess the everyday imagery which influences our urban public spaces reflecting a more local context void of the networked online global community.</text>

It is a tribute to the process of finding chosen families and the joy we can receive in feeling unconditional love for the first time, explored through image making and text. Each book is accompanied with a 1/1 drawing, sweets, a key ring that encases a flower from the artist’s garden and stickers. It is rooted in understanding our human need to express all types of emotion but ultimately hopes to bring a smile to the reader.</text>
