<text>Things as They Are takes us from the golden era of the illustrated press--the heyday of Life and Picture Post magazines and the moment of The Museum of Modern Art's defining Family of Man exhibition--to the explosion of digital media in the twenty-first century. This history is told through the presentation of 125 photojournalistic features shot and published around the world. The stories are presented in context--reproduced from the pages of the newspapers and magazines where they originally appeared, as their contemporary public would have experienced them. In this way, Things as They Are reveals how the events of the world, the fine art of photography, and the interests of publishers and the press converged on the printed page. It traces how photojournalism has developed over time alongside changing technology, media, fashions in photography--and a changing world. Includes landmark photo-essays by W. Eugene Smith, Sebastiao Salgado, Mary Ellen Mark and James Nachtwey, among others, each accompanied by expert commentary.

A memory of a person connected to that object, kept by them, given by them. Aligning the past and present in a moment. The original project has been made into a handmade artists book with a limited edition of ten copies. This version offers a pack of non-postcards, 6 cards with 12 images in total. Each card is printed on both sides thus rendering its use as a postcard as open to question it becomes an object in its own right. The postcards are contained in a wrap with a belly band with an informational label inside.</text>

<text>THRIFT is the art project and brain child of photographer Will Grundy and stylist Beatriz Maués. The duo made a series of fashion pictures using unique vintage discoveries from various cities. These images, featuring recycled clothing, is their way of delivering the message of resourcefulness over wastefulness.

THRIFT encourages the viewer to take a more informed and considered approach to their personal consumption of fashion, with a hope of opening a dialogue to promote an ethos of sustainability. It also celebrates the thrill of the hunt, the joys in discovering a unique thrift shop find. Like the unique one-off pieces they collect, this limited 54 page book is printed in the limited edition of 200.</text>
