<text>The unfolding events in the run up to the Iraq war had given Tom Hurndall, a 21-year-old British photojournalist, an increased curiosity and desire to journey to the Middle East. In February 2003, initially as an observer alongside the Human Shields, he left with a passion to make a difference, to record and photograph the truth for himself.

We follow his journey first from Baghdad, then to Amman and the Al-Rweished refugee camp in Jordan, and finally on to the town of Rafah in Gaza close to the Egyptian border, where US peaceworker Rachel Corrie had been killed just weeks previously.

On April 11th, unarmed and wearing an internationally recognizable orange peacekeeper jacket, he was severely wounded while carrying Palestinian children to safety. He died nine months later in a London hospital.

The book follows Tom’s life and thoughts in the final weeks leading up to the shooting. Motivated by a sense of injustice and striving to remain objective we are drawn into his increasingly serious photographs and words, through extracts from his diary, emails and poems.

It is realised through collaboration with the Hurndall family on the eighth anniversary of that fateful day, and follows the 2008 Channel 4 film-documentary ‘The Shooting of Thomas Hurndall’.

An active traveller working in the music industry, he has spent the last few years living and visiting various destinations between North America, Europe, Australia and the Caribbean. The Otherside is Negele’s first full length photo publication, highlighting a 2019 trip to the remote Lofoten Islands in the Norweigan artic circle. The book is inspired by classic coming-of-age films and follows Negele and his friends Maria and Aapo on their week-long unplanned expedition. The collection of photos are the final selection of 11 rolls of 35mm Kodak professional film captured during the road-trip. Sequence based with minimal text – aside from hand-written notes, as well as an official soundtrack (featuring Rex Orange County, Ziggy Marley, Jay Prince and more) – The Otherside is for you to interpret.</text>

<text>For his notorious Park photos, taken at night in Tokyo’s Shinjuku, Yoyogi and Aoyama parks during the 1970s, Kohei Yoshiyuki used a 35mm camera, infrared film and flash to capture a secret community of lovers and voyeurs. His pictures document the people who gathered in these parks at night for clandestine trysts, as well as the many spectators lurking in the bushes who watched—and sometimes participated in—these couplings. With their raw, snapshot-like quality, these images not only uncover the hidden sexual exploits of their subjects, both same-sex and heterosexual, but they also serve as a chronicle of a Japan we rarely see. This newly designed, comprehensive edition of Kohei Yoshiyuki: The Park brings this collectible classic back into print with eight never-before-seen images, as well as documentation of the Japanese zines that predated the 2007 Hatje Cantz/Yossi Milo edition.</text>

<text>A pillar knocked into the ground next to a stream in a flat, open landscape, trees and houses visible in the distance, beneath a vast sky. That is the backdrop to all of Stephen Gill´s photographs in this book. We see the same landscape in spring and summer, in autumn and winter, we see it in sunshine and rain, in snow and wind. Yet there is not the slightest monotony about these pictures, for in almost every one there is a bird, and each of these birds opens up a unique moment in time. We see something that has never happened before and will never happen again. That it takes place in the midst of a landscape characterised by repetition, in which time is cyclical, sets up a keen existential dynamic: on the one hand, everything has happened before, there’s nothing new under the sun; on the other, every moment is unique and carries the hallmark of the miracle: what happens happens only once and never again.

But this wasn’t what I thought about the first time I looked at these photographs. In fact, I barely thought at all, for I was shaken, as a person so often is when confronted with an extraordinary work of art. I’d never seen birds in this way before, as if on their own terms, as independent creatures with independent lives. Ancient, forever improvising, endlessly embroiled with the forces of nature, and yet indulging too. And so infinitely alien to us.

<text>The Pink Line is a photographic record of two women's incredible bond of friendship through infertility and surrogacy and an exploration of a woman’s sense of self.

Katie has never achieved a pink line on a pregnancy test. After 8 failed rounds of IVF, including using donor sperm or eggs, Katie’s long-time friend Dani successfully conceived using a donor egg and Pete’s sperm.

Surrogacy in the UK is an under-considered option for couples undergoing fertility treatment and is often seen as a last resort. The commonly-asked question is ‘why not adopt?’

In collaboration with Katie, her husband Pete and Dani, The Pink Line aims to challenge stereotypes of what a journey to motherhood looks like.

Photographed over the duration of the surrogacy, the series explores Katie’s desire for motherhood and what drove Dani to offer her body as a surrogate.

Baby Arthur was born by Cesaerean Section at 9.20am on 8th August 2022 weighing 8lb 12oz. His middle name is Daniel, named after the incredible woman who made him possible.</text>
