<text>Page by page, this book gives materiality and makes visible scenes, snapshots and situations
without ever limiting itself to a specific genre, discipline or subcategory of photography. On the
contrary, Eric Oliveira blurs the stylistic boundaries, moving with virtuosity through pictorialism,
abstraction, chromaticism and experimental photography, to then enter documentary, landscape
architecture and even macro photography, refuting the regulatory aspects of the ways in which
we usually relate to photographic narratives. The sequentiality seeks to converge sensitive
images that are apparently dissociated into the same narrative, which allows the photos/frames
to act on the interpretation of each other.
In the context of visual metaphors, it is also important to highlight the interpretative syntheses
and the production of meanings generated by Fragments. Far from the intention of translating
the essence of an unfathomable city into images, Eric Oliveira prioritizes the collateral feelings
and sensations obtained through contact with each photograph. The aim is not to limit each
frame to a concrete event, but rather to release the symptoms of time and the implicit
discourses in the juxtaposition of colors, shapes, words, characters, textures and grooves.
Completely disregarding standardized approaches, his photographs claim the function of
reimagining a multifaceted city where visual identities compete and permeate every corner and
location. The concerns and ambivalences inherent to this journey pave the way for Londoners
themselves to relive, observe and feel attentively the city they inhabit.

In Fragments, his second authorial book, Eric Oliveira metabolizes all his technique by visually
discussing a city that welcomes him and makes him overflow. In this fragmented imagination
between the exceptional and the mundane, photography stands out as a powerful form of
expression capable of reflecting on history, identity and transience. Each of these fragments can
be an invitation to a new story, waiting to be seen through the lens of a camera.

<text>Few stretches of concrete can claim to be an international landmark, a Roman artefact, Europe’s busiest street, and a cultural and commercial hub all rolled into one. A microcosm of the world yet so uniquely itself. Shot between 2019-2025, ‘Oxford Street’ documents life and the passing of time along the strip between Marble Arch and Tottenham Court Rd. A place where commerce, leisure and faith collide in an endless loop, reinforcing our multiple singularity as mere mortals passing through. An overstimulating place even by London standards, the images attempt to compose the chaos, playing with time and reassembly for better understanding. Casting a seldom-applied empathetic eye on the landmark, while staying true to its rhythm and flow. And ultimately posing a question to the viewer: where is your place here? And in the wider world. </text>

<text>Architect Abele never set out to make a book. But while building a career in Japan, his undiagnosed bipolar disorder worsened under Tokyo's relentless pace. His camera became both an anchor and an outlet – a way to process what his mind couldn't yet explain.

Detour is the result: a striking blend of photography and personal narrative that captures the tension between inner chaos and urban order. Each image offers a window into the physical and psychological landscapes Abele inhabits, from moments of frenetic energy to profound solitude.

What does depression look like through a lens? How can art offer clarity in mental fog? Through raw imagery and honest reflection, Abele explores how creative expression can become a lifeline.

A powerful meditation on mental health and the act of seeing.</text>
